Berg Vervoer is the pride of the Van den Berg family from Bothaville in the Free State.
Since it was founded with one truck in 2001 by Gerhard van den Berg, owner and general manager, it has grown to a successful family business with a well-kept fleet of 19 trucks and 50 members of staff. Gerhard’s wife, Elmie, manages human resources while his son, Walter, manages the maintenance of the fleet. Mariska van der Merwe, Gerhard’s daughter, is the logistical manager who ensures the smooth operation of the business across the country.
The insurance company, Heckmar Brokers, is part of the team. They ensure that if there is an incident while transporting your cargo, every aspect will be dealt with in no time, with the focus on “Our client is also their client”. For further peace of mind, goods in transit insurance worth R1 000 000 is offered with each freight.
The family highly values attributes such as honesty, enthusiasm, innovation, helpfulness and rendering a friendly service. They strive to build good relations with their customers which in the past resulted in return business and referrals by satisfied customers.

With a well-maintained fleet of 4 flat-decks and 15 tautliners, Berg Vervoer can assist in transporting a minimum of 34 tons of goods. Berg Vervoer prides itself on its adaptability to clients’ needs and its wide spectrum of services.
Your products will be in the care of one of Berg Vervoer’s 21 experienced drivers of trucks that are well-maintained by our two full-time mechanics.
The latest technology is also being utilised. Our trucks are equipped with tracking devices, as well as cameras on board.
