Vacancy – Digital Designer/WordPress

The following entry level position is available within our Digital Platforms office in Bloemfontein.
JOB TITLE: DIGITAL DESIGNER – WORDPRESS
EDUCATION: Relevant tertiary qualification
EXPERIENCE: Have at least 2 years’ experience as a designer.
BRIEF JOB DESCRIPTION:

 Creation of design and assets for use on our website, brand file and social media platforms.

 Work closely with copywriters on social content and strategies.

 Design all social content

 Work closely with social customer relations manager

 Work collaboratively with digital manager, suppliers and agencies to complete website maintenance tasks

 Design emailers across all brands

 Perform CMS changes on websites and mobi sites when required.

 To maintain the high visual standards of the creative head and the marketing department as a whole and to assist others in maintaining this standard.

 Creation of presentation and mockups to present ideas/executions

 To bring fresh ideas and approaches and perform any other duties as reasonable requested.

 

TECHNICAL SKILLS:

 WordPress development and extensive plugin knowledge

 Adobe Creative Suite (In Design, Illustrator, Photoshop essential)

 Additional digital skills beneficial (e.g. After Effects, Final Cut, Flash and Dreamweaver)

 Familiar with Web 2.0 principles

 Experience in HTML and CSS

 Knowledge of ASP.net beneficial

 Traditional typography and print skills.
